Orlando has a variety of sports venues where groups can play. Well known for its multitude of tourist attractions, Orlando offers many entertainment possibilities and is one of the top places in the country for resorts and theme parks. It would take 67 eight-hour days to visit all of the fun options in Orlando.
PLACES TO PLAY: Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex. This 220-acre complex annually hosts more than 80 events in 50 different sports. The newest facility is the Jostens Center, a state-of-the-art field house that opened this summer. The 9,500-seat Champions Stadium is the spring-training home of the Atlanta Braves and the recurring home of the Gulf Coast Braves. The Milk House is a 5,000-seat, multi-purpose arena, used for activities such as basketball and gymnastics. Consisting of eight multi-purpose fields, Hess Sports Field has two fields equipped for night play and four to international soccer dimensions. The field is used for the training camp of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Diamond plex is composed of six fields used for softball and youth baseball.
PLACES TO HAVE FUN: Walt Disney World Resort. The most visited and largest resort in the world contains four theme parks: Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Notable attractions include the Space Mountain and Splash Mountain rides at the Magic Kingdom and the Animal Kingdom’s Kilimanjaro Safari. The resort also offers Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach water parks.
PLACES TO STAY: With the second-largest number of hotel rooms (111,000) in the country, Orlando has 450 hotels and all of the major brands. Read More
