PLACES TO PERFORM: Boston Center for the Arts. This nonprofit performing and visual arts complex contains six performance spaces: BCA Plaza Black Box Theatre, BCA Plaza Theatre, Roberts Studio Theatre,Virginia Wimberly Theatre, Rehearsal Hall A and Deane Rehearsal Hall. The venues hold between 50 and 360 and are available for rent. Symphony Hall. Home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra and the Boston Pops, this hall is used by visiting orchestras, chamber groups, soloists and local performers. With one of the world’s best acoustical settings and available for rent, this is a prime venue for performance groups.
PLACES TO PARADE: St. Patrick’s Day Parade. The first celebration of St. Patrick’s Day was in Boston in 1737, and Boston continues its celebration of the holiday with an annual parade. PLACES TO HAVE FUN:
Fenway Park. Built in 1912, the homey stadium is the oldest park in the major leagues. Fenway is famous for its high left field wall, nicknamed the Green Monster. Tours are available.
