The Twin Cities has the third-largest theater market in the United States. There are plenty of theaters in the area in which students are able to perform. After performances,student groups can enjoy the multitude of attractions in the area, many of them on or close to the Mississippi River.
PLACES TO PERFORM: Guthrie Theater. Encamped along the banks of the Mississippi River in Minneapolis, this Tony Award-winning theater is the crown jewel of Minnesota’s vibrant performing arts scene. Northeast Minneapolis Parade. Occurring since 1929, the parade is held every June. Enjoy floats, bands, food and fun at the second-oldest parade in Minnesota.
PLACES TO HAVE FUN: Thunder Alley Indoor Speedway and Paintball. Located near Minneapolis in Princeton, Thunder Alley is the nation’s largest indoor go-carting facility. The 36,000-square-foot entertainment center has go-carts, paintball, video arcades and banquet halls. It can easily handle groups of up to 200 peoples.
