ILLINOIS Chicago’s Sears Tower Bands and other student groups are invited to perform in the atrium lobby of Chicago’s 110-story Sears Tower, the nation’s tallest building. Performances are at noon weekdays. Upbeat music, including popular and show tunes, is preferred; no religious music is permitted. The school’s name, city and performance date are announced on screens in the elevators leading to the 103rd-floor Skydeck observation room. Groups receive a special discounted rate on Skydeck tickets, pending performance approval. Chairs, electricity and secure storage for equipment when on the Skydeck are provided. MISSOURI Money, Money 1 The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City’s Money Museum has just opened for tours. Museum-goers at the Fed’s new head- quarters will be able to see millions of dollars inside the region’s largest cash vault, give their own redesign to the nation’s currency and test their strength by lifting a $400,000 gold bar. There is no admission charge. A photo ID is required for visitors 18 and older. Online reservations for groups are being taken. WISCONSIN Dells Mega-Resort Expands The African-themed Kalahari Resort, one of Wisconsin Dells’ prime water park hotels, will unveil a $15-million indoor entertainment complex in December. Featured will be a six-story Ferris wheel, a ropes course with zip line, adult and kiddie go-carts, 24 lanes of bowling and 18 holes of mini-golf. Also available will be more than 200 arcade games, laser tag and two state-of-the-art golf simulators.
