CALIFORNIA San Francisco Treat
Pier 39, a festival marketplace on San Francisco Bay, abounds with activities and performance possibilities for students. School bands and choral and dance groups may perform in the entrance plaza, and the fully equipped, 275-seat Theatre 39 is available for rent. OREGON New Space Museum
The Evergreen Aviation Museum in Mc Minnville became the Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum in June when it opened Oregon’s largest space facility. The space museum complements two signature attractions—Howard Hughes’ Spruce Goose, the world’s largest wooden flying boat, and the SR-71 Blackbird, the fastest aircraft ever built.
TEXAS Big Splash in Grapevine
The new, north woods-themed Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine, boasting one of the hotel chain’s largest indoor water parks, has already embarked on a major expansion, with completion expected in December. The number of all-suite guest rooms will increase from 402 to 605. Mesa, Arizona
