Branson is recognized as a family-valued destination. Branson has large city amenities with the small town environment. There are 17,000 rooms, 50,000 theater seats, 200 outlet stores, with attractions, go-karts, and amusements all within a city of a population less than 7,000. There are many opportunities in the Branson for school groups to perform. Spring festivals include the 34th Ozark Mountain County Band, Choral, & Orchestra Festival. In the fall, marching bands can compete in the November 11 Veterans Day Parade or in Branson’s annual Christmas parade.

A unique performance opportunity for bands and choirs is to perform live on stage at one of the different music theaters prior to the show time. Groups play on the same stage as some of Branson’s biggest stars.

Rochester is a city built on hospitality and its hotels make it their mission to accommodate the particular needs of guests. With a variety of sporting teams, ranging from amateur to semi-professional baseball, hockey and football, Rochester, Minn. offers a surprising number of top-level sporting facilities that can be used for meetings, exhibitions, championship tournaments and other special events.

Mayo Civic Center

  • The auditorium at the Mayo Civic Center has welcomed championship sporting and large-scale entertainment events of all kinds since the facility was finished in 1939. An expansion on the north side of the facility was completed in 2001, adding 25,000 square feet of exhibit hall space and an 11,000-squarefoot lobby. A surprisingly modern facility for a city of Rochester’s size, the Mayo Civic Center welcomes top conventions and regional sporting events year-round. National Volleyball Center Built in 1999 as a cooperative project between the City of Rochester, one of the city’s school districts and the Minnesota Amateur Sports Commission, the National Volleyball Center was necessary to host numerous tournaments, summer camps and matches from youth events to international Olympic training programs. Located on the campus of Century High School, the center features 30-foot ceilings, indirect lighting and suspended wooden floors beneath eight courts. The facility has also hosted basketball, badminton, floor exercise and a variety of gym floor events.
  • Mayo Field:-The Rochester Honkers summer collegiate baseball club and the Rochester Royals amateur baseball team play their games at this marquee ballpark, which was donated to the city of Rochester by the Mayo Clinic 100 years ago. Set on the banks of the Zumbro River on the edge of downtown Rochester, the illuminated buildings of the skyline provide a scenic backdrop to night games.

Quarry Hill Nature Center

  • Nestled within 300 acres of parkland, the Quarry Hill Nature Center houses over 100 mounted animals, a 1,700-gallon fish tank, live animals, an indoor beehive, and a bird-watching room. Paved trails and natural hiking trails allow for visitors to enjoy this unique park located close to downtown Rochester. Oak savanna, restored prairie, quarry, man-made sandstone caves and a man-made pond complete the Quarry Hill experience. Cross-county skis or snowshoes are available for rent.
Honkers Baseball
  • The Rochester Honkers Baseball Club is named after the giant Canada geese that have taken residence in Rochester and have become a symbol of the city. Honker’s baseball games are a unique attraction in Rochester; in between innings attendees participate in cow milking, dog fetching and water balloon launching contests.

Skyline Raceway

  • Skyline Raceway is a family fun park offering go karts, mini golf, paint ball and a giant waterslide.
